The stillness of the waters had come around the large man, his eyes closed as a piece of straw was in his mouth, he softly ate the straw smiling as his eyes came open. "This is so relaxing, after all those bastards thought they could beat me, I win and they lose, simple yet funny, well in my eyes." He spat the straw out, yawning as he arose.
He wiped his eyes as he went forward his legs moving with small taps as he began to drink the water from the river. Drinking with slow gulps his eyes closed as he then yawned. He stopped as he sighed, looking to the starry skies, and yawned once more, he scratched his head. He looked towards the waters sitting down now.
"I wonder... what to do today, that demon yesterday wasn't a big step up... wasn't very strong, and now I can't figure out things to do..." He scratched his brow and laid backwards and his eyes gazed and with a grin, he laughed to himself, listening to the hymns of the waters pouring. "Flow, flow, the waters they go... flow no, don't stop just go, liquid so small, torrents so tall, no no, don't stop don't go." He sighe dhappily.

As the ox demon began chanting his little hymn, a sound suddenly began playing. It was a sharp, playful tune of a flute.
There was a tree a good 100 yards away form where the male demon was. And in that tree a girl, no older then 12 or 11, sat playing the flute.
Two wings, which were white with black and Grey streaks and specks, rested on her back. Her hair was the same, white with black and Grey. Her eyes were closed as she played, her feet swaying to and fro as she played her flute.

His eyes shifted to the music that was now playing, as he listened he began to follow the sweet chimes of the woman's soul, he smiled and traveled further, stopping as he heard more of the chimes, and gasped. "A young girl?" He walked forward, and with a blink he walked closer.
"Young woman, where did you learn to play that..." He then shifted his eyes. "Wait, your not human, your a demon..." He said with a simple sigh and nodded. "Definitely look like a kid with no assets, or curve..." He scratched his head more laughing. "Man, that's so funny, a non-curvy demon, then you are young, just not in human years..." He said simply.

When the male ox demon ahd come into the clearing, she had not notice him, btu when he spoke, she quickly opend her eyes to look at him and stopped playing.
She pulled her feet up onto the branch, as if the demon would run over any moment and try to grab her legs.
When he asked when she'd learnt o play, then began making note of her age, she blushed at his words and mumbled, "I'm only 12 in full-demon terms of life... and I'm just half demon..." She then cleared her throat and said in a cleaer voice, "I learned how to play a little from my mother, the rest I learned on my own..."
She took in his appearance, blinking at the horns on his head and asked in a slightly shyer tone, "Forgive me for asking, but what kind of demon are you?"

"I'm an ox." He said as he picked a tree from its limb with one hand, and chuckled throwing it in the air catching it, he crushed it with his grip splitting it in two. "Obvious to me, that you should also still be with your parents now, run along." He swiped his hand beginning to walk away.
"Hm, I wonder what I should have to ea, their should be a village around here that sales fruit, though its been a while since I been to this part of Japan..." He sighed and walked forward. "Either way, I'm hungry..." His stomach growled.

Sayuri's eyes grew sad at the mention of parents. While the Ox demon mummbled abotu getting food, she said softly "I don't have any." But the Ox probably didn't hear because his stomach growled a second later.
Sayuri pulled a sack into her lap and opend it. Inside was a loaf of slightly stale bread, and afew apples. "Here." She said, throwing the Ox demon one of the apples before take one for herself to eat.

"Eh... you don't have any... what happened, they leave you or something?" He caught the apple as he then looked towards her. "Thanks, this will be good." He ate the apple sighing, closing his eyes as he opened them once more he went towards her and sat by her. "Hm, so you don't have parents, that's rough kid, I lost my parents as well."
He ate the apple smiling and eating at the same time, he scratched his head and watched her. "Tell you what, travel with me and I'll drop you off at a village ,the people wil ltake care of you if you do work around the village, and you can have a place of comfort." He smiled at her.

Sayuri chuckled at the other's invitation. "No... it wouldn't work. Humans don't take kindly to half-demons;" Flashes from her past and how her mother was murdered by the villagers, made her face twist into a pain filled glare at the ground. "They hate them, hard workers or no. I learned that the hard way." She said/growled in a voice that sounded hurt and angry, her eyes clenched shut as she took a bite of her apple.

He sighed and laid backwards and closed his eyes. "Then, I guess I'll take you." He smiled and watched her for a second after closing his eyes. "I'll let you travel with me until your old enough to be on your own, though one exception, you have to do what I say when I say it..." He scratched the back of his head.
"If you do this, I also want to train you, so you will be of use to yourself, since I know for a fact that a girl like you isn't that strong, hm..." He yawned once again, sighing. "Either way, you choose, harsh training, and companionship, or demons eating and killing you once they find you, I can defend myself so I'm not worried, you however..." He began to sleep softly.

Sayuri blinked and watched as the demon dozed, her wings unfurled. "I'll think about, while your asleep..." She murmured, sliding off the branch, but instead of falling her wings immedatly took action and gently flapped, slowing her down as she gently alighted to the ground then sat next to the demon watching him sleep.
She pulled out a comb from ehr bag of small privisions and treasures and began combing her hair as she began to weigh her options...
About 15 to 20 minutes later she sighed as she looke dover at the ox demon. She had almsot ocme to her desicion, btu she was still unsure. A snap of a tiwg nearby caught her attention.
She quickly scanne dhte clearing, lookign for any sign sof danger, she stood up and looked closer at the shadow. There it was! A gleam of red eyes. A snicker of blood thirst.
