Name: Lucinda
Age: 17
Contact: AIM - Xxhaachibixx
Age: Appears 21, but in actuality is 774 years old
Nick Names and Titles: Lady Moriko // Moriko-dono
Type: OC
Race: Neko Youkai, taiyoukai
Occupation: Lady of the Southern Lands
Company: Herself
Location: Wandering
Appearance:
Her hair is a long auburn, down about her mid-back, which glints with red highlights in the sun, with straight cut bangs, matching the long haired tail that she has poke out of a hole behind her lower wear. Her eyes are a mossy green, flecks of gray, and usually reserved. She has a few markings on her pale skin, mostly black ones one her shoulders and hips, even some down along her back ending just over her tail. Her body type is petite, and she doesn't appear strong to humans. Naturally, she is stronger than the average human, vastly, but isn't exactly considered the strongest among other demons. She weighs in at 115 lbs. at a height of 5'5". She does also, of course, have the traditional pointed ears of a demon.
Moriko can normally be seen wearing a breast plate as a top of sorts, a kimono coat, dark red with black edges to cover her arms, with matching yukata pants and bare feet, her hair pulled back into a tight braid with her weapons at her side.
Personality: Cool, calm and collected, one wouldn't suspect all of the pent up anger and frustration she feels. A master at putting up masks and faking her emotions, Moriko lulls others into a false sense of security; she is not always so deceiving though, at least to those she truly cares about. Back home, she treated her servants with the utmost respect and care, as did she her subordinates and those in her army. She is extremely protective of those close to her, loyal and honest with her true feelings.
It becomes harder to hold a mask up in battle, where her true personality is revealed. She is merciless and cold, taking pleasure in kills that frustrate her and make her use the most energy. If provoked enough, which is seldom, she will not stop until her 'prey' is completely and utterly destroyed.
Still a woman at heart though, Moriko has a particular soft spot for children and cute things. She will not express this aloud, but she takes particular care of how she acts if there is a child present, where her motherly side shows easily, be it a human or demon child. When it comes to the animosity between the humans and demons, she could find herself caring less. She believes that as demons, being stronger and somewhat more intelligent than the humans, that they should come down from their pedestal of superiority and try to make peace, educating them and perhaps, in turn, learning something valuable in return.
Background: Born into royalty as one of five daughters, the eldest one, of the late Lady Hiromi, her father is unknown due to the many males she kept in her harem, but this is unimportant. She was raised in privilege, given whatever her heart desired as long as she was able to earn it. As only females could truly rule in this royal family, she was taught at an early age the ways of war and combat; as long as she remained strong, and completed her lessons, be it in training or education, which was provided only by the best in her mother's army and many viziers, with no less than above excellent, she was given whatever she asked for; she was not spoiled, nor was she kept in want.
A few weeks after her 368th birthday, as a human she would have appeared to be ten, war broke out between the Southern lands and the Western lands, ruled by the all powerful Inu no Taishou. As she was not officially old enough, or trained enough, to fight alongside her mother and her army, she and her sisters were forced to watch from the sidelines, pained as it was obvious that they were losing. The youkai of the West had always been powerful, especially the Inu no Taisho and his son. Unable to bear it any longer, watching the ones she knew die before her, those who taught her and raised her with her mother, she donned her battle garb and rushed out, prepared to do what it took to win this war.
It was too late.
The battle was over, as her mother was run through by the Inu no Taisho's blade, and before her eyes. The fighting stopped, and the Western armies retreated, knowing they had won. She ran to her mother's side, hysterical, and fell to her knees, struggling to revive her, but she would not awake. The next day, as the eldest daughter, she was named as their new leader, where her training would become more rigorous to prepare her for the title of taiyoukai; she gladly accepted whatever training came her way, prepared to do whatever it took to become stronger, to protect her people and her family.
However, as the years passed, and she grew older, Moriko became restless. She was powerful, yes, but her education taught her nothing of the lands or the people beyond their own. She felt that in order to understand her role as a leader, and to create better ties with the lands around them, that she must learn of them as well. So, as such, she left temporary leadership with her younger sister, the second eldest Eiko, whom she knew was, maybe not as strong, but vastly more intelligent than she, and a master at strategy. She took no servant with her, and left to travel and search the lands, in order to learn and to create new ties, with demon and human alike.
Abilities: Tsuuretsu Tsume - A normal slashing attack, using either the claws on her hands or her hook swords, powered up by her chi to cause extra damage, though not by much. Easily avoidable, but only if one keeps on their guard.
Shippo no Neko - Another chi attack, where the power would extend from her hands and used as a whip attack. Not as easily avoided at Tsuuretsu Tsume, but can be made to be with good timing.
Youji no Neko - A defensive attack; she kneels down and crosses her swords in front of her, expanding her chi just enough to create a half barrier in front of her to block other chi and physical attacks. Used against weak and semi-powerful attacks, otherwise can only be used to soften a blow.
Hitonomi, Gekido no Neko - Offensive attack; using chi to strengthen her blade, she goes into battle as this, and thus the hits she gets with her swordplay are five times more powerful than average. Only lasts for a short period of time, ranging from half an hour to forty five minutes. Difficult to dodge, somewhat challenging to block.
Danpen, Gekido no Neko - Offensive attack; her hook swords attach at their ends with a chain, which she uses to spin around her chi strengthened weapons and charge an enemy with. Difficult to block, but easy to dodge.
Weapons: Tsume no Neko - Hook swords forged from the powerful claws of her ancestors, supposedly the first of her family's lineage after they'd died in battle.
Role Play Sample:
Not too far off from where they were, soft and barely audible footsteps made their way through the forest, alone and not really going much anywhere. A wanderer, the Lady Moriko looked around quietly, on her guard as the stench of blood was strong in the air. Demon blood, to be precise. Either there had been a fight somewhere, or someone had become someone else's lunch. Either way, tragic; wandering in her human form made travel much easier, as it made her look less suspicious about villages, of course. Still pretty conspicuous, with her strange looks and attire, but not as much as a rather large cat wandering into town, yes? Either way, she chose to stay away from the scent of blood; it didn't concern her at the moment.
She did, however, find herself happening upon a field of flowers, a glade that dispersed the smell somewhat, with a more pleasant scent, and she found herself sighing softly in relief. She noted, as well, that she smelled human about this place as well. A child, she saw, was picking flowers by herself, humming happily and smiling, as she could only watch curiously from afar. There were no villages nearby, or huts as far as she knew. What would a little human girl be doing so far away from her home?
Moriko chose not to approach the girl, but she stood by silently, watching her. The breeze ruffled her auburn bangs and whipped up her braid a bit, mossy eyes full of a sort of wonder.
